Vehicle Rollover Snaps Pole, Shuts Down Busy Road In Westchester

A vehicle rollover in Northern Westchester damaged a telephone pole and caused a temporary closure on a busy road.

The incident happened on Saturday, March 9 just before 2 p.m., when a car rolled over on Route 133 in New Castle and hit a pole, snapping it in half, according to the Millwood Fire Department. 

Arriving emergency responders and police soon shut down the road while members of the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps evaluated the driver. 

Crews responded to the scene for around an hour and a half.
